The Week of 6.5.11

E3, Infamous 2, Super 8, a slew of DVD and Blu-Ray releases, and more.

Week 23 brings with it E3, which means a whole hell of a lot overview at the end of each day (since we don’t have a representative there this year), but in terms of things you can actually purchase or see yourself, there’s plenty to go around. For starters, the Spielberg-Abrams alien flick Super 8 hits theaters on Friday. Last week marked the premiere of Franklin and Bash (my bad for not informing you) and this week conman Neal Caffrey returns in White Collar. Also, the Doctor Who schedule got a bit mixed up in the past few weeks so this weeks episode is actually going to be last week’s episode since things got shifted. And seeing as it is E3 there is are plenty of games heading your way. The PS3 sees a good week with Infamous 2 hitting shelves (look for an unboxing of the Hero Edition later this week) and with the PS Store back up downloadable titles are getting released multiple times a week starting with Beyond Good & Evil HD and Call of the Dead. Speaking of downloadables, the 3DS eShop opens Monday with two free downloads in the form of Excitebike 3DS and Pokédex 3D. In store for your DVD and Blu-Ray players comes True Grit, the Superman Anthology, and a bunch of other stuff too.
