He’s no Jack Ryan.
When it comes to spy movies, we’re used to seeing gun fights, car chases, and insane amounts of espionage. Take the Jack Ryan movies. Ryan is a CIA analyst, not a field agent, and yet his life is extremely exciting and full of threats to his family and his country, and yet what is the one thing these movies are lacking? A strategic misuse of government resources to impress a lady. That’s what makes This Means War so different. Starring Chris Pine, who is actually in the running for the next Jack Ryan, against Tom Hardy, aka Bane from The Dark Knight Rises, these two CIA agents are out to court one Reese Witherspoon, by any means possible. Comedy and action abound in the first trailer for This Means War, check it out below.
Okay, this isn’t your standard action comedy, so maybe it will be original in that regard. It does seem like it could be cool to see Pine go up against Hardy, but Witherspoon? We’ll see how that goes. This Means War heads to theaters President’s Day Weekend.
