Rockstar takes you back to San Andreas.
In case you missed it, today Rockstar Games, the studio behind the Grand Theft Auto series and Red Dead Redemption, debuted the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5. The trailer hit the internet at noon here on the East coast, and 9 on the West, and immediately sites like IGN tore through it to find as many details as possible, to figure out just what Rockstar was bringing to the plate this time around. And let me just say, there is a lot to dissect here. For starters, GTA V brings it all back to San Andreas, and not only that, it looks to be bringing back Vice City veteran Tommy Vercetti. See what else you can spot in the premiere trailer for the next entry in the GTA series.
The first thing to note is the graphics look splendid, and this game seems to be changing things up a bit. There are rumors that Rockstar has also implemented multiple playable characters, which may lend to the idea that CJ may be returning, seeing as this is his hometown (and he may be the one running away from the helicopter). I’ve never been a huge fan of GTA, but I did play San Andreas, and if this game is as beautiful as GTA IV (which I got my hands on for a bit) it may be worth picking up as, most likely, one of the final games in this console generation. There’s no release date yet, but we’ll let you know when we know.
