Jak and Daxter Head to the PS3

The (other) Sony Dynamic Duo are getting collected.

When Ratchet and Clank made their debut on the PS3 back in the day, the first thing that crossed my mind was how long it would take Naughty Dog to bring their duo, Jak and Daxter, to the console. Answer? 5 years. On top of that, this is only a collection of the PS2 titles. But don’t get me wrong, this is awesome. The Jak and Daxter Collection comes to the PS3 in February complete with all three original titles remastered in 720p HD, 3D support, and everyone’s favorite, trophies.

This tag team set quite a precedent on the PS2 for platforming games, and held it’s own against “competitors” Ratchet and Clank. With the 10th anniversary of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy on December 3, there might just be some hope that these two may actually be making an original adventure for the PS3. Or not. Who knows. Either way, be sure to pick up this trilogy collection in February.

On that note, is anyone sick of collections yet? Sure, it’s nice to see classic games getting a touch up, but are there too many of them? Let us know in the comments below.
