Sadly, they chose The Three Stooges. You let me down America. Though not completely. The Hunger Games still took the number one spot for the fourth week in a row. The last movie to do that was Avatar which was in 2009. Following that came the aforementioned Three Stooges movie and then The Cabin in the Woods. Titanic sank into fourth place, but American Reunion fell deeper going from second into fifth. The first Snow White film of the year, Mirror Mirror managed to only drop one spot while Wrath of the Titans fell around it, into fourth from seventh. 21 Jump Street dropped from number 6 to 8, just ahead of Guy Pearce’s premiere with Lockout, which beat out The Lorax in tenth.

Now, while none of us here at 1amgeek saw The Three Stooges, I’m pretty sure we’ll all in agreement that The Cabin in the Woods was better. Read our [review] to find out why. Also check out our [review] for American Reunion. This Friday choose from The Lucky One, Think Like a Man, or Marley. Yeah, none of those sound appealing to us either, but the following week will be much better with The Five-Year Engagement, Safe, and Sound of My Voice. And then it will only be one more week before The Avengers. Get excited. Stay cool moviegoers.
