It took five weeks, but another movie finally stepped in to take the place of The Hunger Games at number 1, and that movie was…Think Like a Man? Really? Well, right behind that came not-in-High-School-Musical-anymore Zac Efron in The Lucky One, which also beat out The Hunger Games while it landed in third this week. Chimpanzee entered the fray at number 4 forcing The Three Stooges and The Cabin in the Woods down into fifth and sixth respectively. Titanic stumbled over American Reunion in seventh as it fell into eighth from fourth. And 21 Jump Street and Mirror Mirror rounded out the top ten in ninth and tenth.
Hmm. Guy Pearce’s Lockout is nowhere to be found after one week, and I still can’t believe The Cabin in the Woods isn’t beating out The Three Stooges. Come on people. Well, maybe you’re just waiting for Joss Whedon’s next, which just so happens to be The Avengers. It’s already opened overseas (as Avengers Assemble), but we’ll finally get to watch it in all it’s superhero glory next Friday, so keep your eyes open for that review next week. As always, stay cool moviegoers.
