Like millions of fans popular.
No one denies that Blizzard makes good games. More importantly, I doubt many people actually complain that such good games are worth the lengthy wait periods in between sequels. Well, add Diablo III to the list of Blizzard’s achievements, seeing it has become the fastest selling PC game in the history of history.
Within the first 24 hours after release the game sold more than 3.5 million copies. By the end of the first week Blizzard reported selling more than 6.3 million copies. Quite impressive for a game that had some notable launch day bugs which turned in some negative user reviews. Since then the scores have been pretty glowing: 9.5 from IGN, a 9.0 from Game Informer, and 89 from Metacritic. Like they say, there’s no such thing as bad press.
Congratulations Blizzard, you did it again. Now if you could only go back in time and have Starcraft Ghost actually be made.
