Game Informer’s July cover shows off the next Gears of War.
E3 isn’t here quite yet, but the game reveals have already started to trickle in. One that is sure to cause a bit of a buzz is Microsoft’s announcement of the next game in the Gears of War franchise, but Game Informer beat them to it…sort of. As part of the cover reveal for July, GI showed off the image below, which is from the forthcoming Gears title.
The main character is blacked out and given the fact that there are Reavers in the background, a building on fire, and the leading man (or woman) in shackles, it seems that the next game might be some sort of prequel. It doesn’t look like Marcus and the rest of Delta will be back, but we’ll have to wait until Microsoft’s E3 conference this Monday to get the details.
