Impressive. Most Impressive.
It’s been said by many people, including me, that video game technology is heavily encroaching on the film industry, to the point that developers should seriously consider making movies. Like BioWare for instance. However, some of the greatest movements towards this idea aren’t coming directly from the game makers, but rather the fans. Thanks to Valve’s new Source Filmmaker, one YouTuber, LiveCurious95, has put the software to the use of remaking a scene from The Matrix. Eat your heart out Wachowskis.
Seriously, let’s just start making actual video game movies rather than terrible adaptations. I’m looking at you BioWare, Naughty Dog, and Ubisoft. Do it, take my money, and do it again. Or I suppose we could do it ourselves with Source Filmmaker, but I’m a grad student. I don’t have time for that.
