When I was in Austin a few weeks back, I met a crazy dude. He literally would roll up to anything that moved and start engaging it. Yelling at girls in the middle of 6th Street to tag along? Check. Grabbing some girl from her friends to take her on stage to salsa (when no one else was on stage)? Check. The man was a beast.
It hit me when I met this guy: sometimes you just have to cut out all convention.
How is this different than anything else I’ve ever said on 1amgeek? Well, everything else has basically been about rewiring your conventions, on how to be more social or become more risk seeking.
This guy just made the rest of us take on complete alter egos.
To figure out who you are, every now and then you have to become someone else.
