Two Old Guys With Two New Movies

Schwarzenegger and Stallone take on bad guys and old jokes.

And by old jokes I mean jokes about being old, as these aging action stars definitely are that, old. Yet they have not uttered Danny Glover’s classic phrase “I’m getting too old for this shit”, so maybe they are not too old yet. You can decide that for yourself in The Expendables 2, or check out the trailers for each of their own movies.

Here’s Arnie in The Last Stand, a story about an Austrian police chief on the US side of the Mexican border who has to stop some guys with the help of Johnny Knoxville.

And then there’s Stallone in Bullet to the Head as a hired gun who loses his partner, finds a new one that he can make fun of, and is out to complete his last job that somehow involves his daughter getting kidnapped.

I think both of these films got lost while trying to imitate a Bruce Willis movie. Still, they could be entertaining with all the old jokes and action. The Last Stand comes to theaters on January 18, 2013, while Stallone follows with Bullet to the Head two weeks later on February 1.
