Rooster Teeth’s gametype lives on.
You can put down your angry pitchforks (I’m not sure why the pitchforks are angry) and your burning torches, 343 announced that Grifball will be returning in Halo 4 (and there was much rejoicing). But hold your horses Grifballers, this ain’t the same game you remember. In it’s move into the new world of Halo 4, Grfiball is getting some interesting upgrades. First off, you can now throw the ball to other players in an attempt to keep the ball in your possession longer than it takes to get a hammerstrike to the face. Additionally, kills with the (now less effective) sword will automatically steal the ball from the dead carriers hands and put it into yours. Why? Why not? You can also use the hammer to push the ball around the course which is nice, even if you use it just to get it out of the possession of the opposing team. And lastly, one great little thing, once a team scores the game doesn’t reset, instead the ball resets in the middle and you keep going. Nice right?
It’s amazing to think that all of this grew out of an episode of Red vs. Blue. Those guys at Rooster Teeth will live on forever because of this. Well, at least the character Grif will.
